Thornton Weekly update week ending 11th August

At last with cooler air and water temperatures we are starting to see an improvement in the fishing with trout starting to move in the upper layers of the reservoir once again.

Floating lines with buzzer, damsel & dries are once again starting to take fish, with anglers reporting fish feeding on the surface during any overcast spells in the weather.

Over the deeper water in front of the main dam, orange buoy & green bay continues to be the area to try with the morning session & late evening session been the most productive time to fish

With an improving forecast for the fishing we should continue to see sport improving this week.

Our last four hours fishing 1 fish kill + Catch & Release £10 and a rowing boat £4.00 offers great value.
