Thornton Update 8th January 2021

The Angling Trust having made further representations to government on the 7th January & have issued government guidelines that allows us to fish locally. You can read the latest guidelines on the Angling Trust website https://anglingtrust.net/covid-19/

We again owe a depth of thanks to Jamie Cook and the Angling Trust for all their hard work on our behalf, not least in ensuring at long last that government and their agencies see angling in a positive light which can only help angling in the long term.

Throughout last year we worked within the government restrictions & Angling Trust guidelines constantly reviewing the way we operated to keep my staff & our customers safe at Thornton, Draycote & Eyebrook. I will take the same approach as we prepare for the 2021 season at Thornton, Draycote & Eyebrook

Currently Thornton, Draycote & Eyebrook are closed for the winter with Thornton due to open on the 1st February, 1st March for Draycote & the 5th March Eyebrook

Having reviewed the latest government restrictions & guidelines I have taken the decision to postpone Thornton`s opening until I see the outcome and any potential changes to the guidelines following the government’s lockdown review on February 15th

I will be contacting bookings for Thornton we already have & will not be taking any further bookings until I see the outcome of the 15th February lockdown review.

We will notify you when we have a confirmed opening date for Thornton.

With over 7 weeks to the 1st March, we are currently working towards open Draycote & Eyebrook on their advertised date.

Stay positive, keep safe & well, we will see you out fishing
