Thornton Weekly update week ending  7th July

Summer has arrived with a vengeance!

During this warm / hot spell of weather the cooler morning session will generally be the most productive time to fish with anglers moving from their floating lines and reaching for their sinking lines with damsel, blobs & booby patterns sure to feature in the catch return.

Its time to concentrate on the deeper cooler water in front of the main dam & orange buoy, fish are there to be caught just a different approach now required.

Melvyn Pepper and John Smith showed on Saturday that an indicator with buzzers fished deep and static will still take fish, but they did concentrate their efforts to the deeper water of green bay

Our water clarity is excellent.

Our last four hours fishing 1 fish kill + Catch & Release £10 and a rowing boat £4.00 offers great value.
