Thornton Weekly update week ending  30th June

Not an easy weeks fishing for us with the rod average at 1.2 with the trout spooned showing they are feeding hard on water flea and small / tiny buzzers

Its one of the strange things about fly fishing anglers have tried fishing with small buzzers and nymph patterns and failed yet put on a tequila blob on a floater throw it out towards a feeding fish and pull it back as quick as you can resulted in fish in the boat, so much for matching the hatch!!

This last week muddlers and blobs pulled quickly across the surface or just under was by far the most successful method, B Fox fished an orange muddler to take 5 fish to 6lb+ another 6lb rainbow was recorded by Phil Collins again on a surface pulled blob.

Our water clarity is excellent

Our last four hours fishing 1 fish kill + Catch & Release £10 and a rowing boat £4.00 offers great value.
