Thornton fishing report week ending 26/02/2012

A good weeks fishing with 158 rods catching 646 trout returning 280 trout for a 4.1 rod average. At last weather conditions allowed us to enjoy some good early season sport with 117 rods catching 613 trout returning 350 for a rod average of 5.2. A mild winter reservoir filling nicely, trout stocked should be a good start to the 2012 season. New Season 2012

Thornton Reservoir The new season opens on 1st February 2012, the reservoir has recovered well from the low water conditions we faced at the end of the 2011 season, the levels are currently rising daily & were around 4ft down from our full level. Water conditions are good. Contact Ifor 01530 230807
