Weekly Report Week ending 25th October 2015
Third week in October and it should be all about the fry patterns, but it isn’t with some anglers still catching on diawl bach, buzzers and daddies!
Fish are feeding off the surface along the stones into green bay with Matt Cairns picking up two fish in this area on diawl bach with Mark Hunt catching 8 on daddies & diawl bach.
With the water temp down to 12 degrees trout are moving into the arms and are increasingly week by week starting to feed on the large shoals of fry with the current two top patterns being the cats whisker and snake. Jamie Scott caught 9 on a snake picking up fish all over the reservoir.
Best lines currently are a floating line, intermediate and a medium sink 3 inch/sec , it’s easy to go to deep.
Rod average for the week was 1.1
