Another excellent weeks fishing with 113 rods catching 721 trout for rod average 6.3
Boat and bank anglers are enjoying the good sport with the area opposite the lodge, wood bank & lonesome pine been the areas to fish. A few anglers have gone to fish the farm bank with this area also started to produce.
Floating lines with weighted Montana, black & green tadpole, white & green tadpole & damsel pattern producing best although some anglers are catching on sinking lines & boobies.
With the forecast looking good for the coming week I wouldn’t be surprised if a few fish were caught on buzzers and nymphs, we have spooned a few trout and they are feeding on bloodworm & small dark coloured buzzer.
This past fortnight with a rod average above 6.0 fish per person is the best spell of fishing we have enjoyed this past fortnight for a number of years.
Most productive time of the day to fish is the warmest part of the day 10.00am – 3.30pm
