Thornton fishing report week ending 27/05/2012

What a contrast with the weather and as a result of the high temperatures and bright conditions the best of the fishing this past week has been during the first half of the day.

136 rods caught 280 trout for a rod average 2.1 with the corner of the wood and the entrance to the Markfield arm and in front of the main dam fishing best.

Mick Curtis and John Spick caught 13 trout to 6lb for their mornings visit, with Steve Zeleny weighing two trout for 7lb, there were a further 27 trout recorded weighing 3lb+

Sinking lines with booby and blobs caught all week with anglers who stuck with buzzers but fishing them static getting the best results with P. Hunt catching 8 on static buzzer on Sunday morning.

Still huge clouds of daphnia in the water and the fish were spooning are still feeding hard on it.
